WHEREAS, on Monday, May 20, 1996, sealed bids were received for the purchase
of forty (40) portable and ten (10) mobile radios for use in the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Neches Communications submitted a bid in the amount of $630.84
each for forty (40) Kenwood TK 330SPKB portable radios and $845.21 each for ten (10)
Kenwood TK 830HBKBHSH1 mobile radios; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Neches
Communications should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Neches Communications for the purchase of forty (40)
Kenwood TK 330SPKB portable radios in the amount of $630.84 each and ten (10)
Kenwood TK 830HBKBHSH1 mobile radios in the amount of $845.21 each for use in the
Police Department be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
