RESOLUTION N0.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 96-103 the City of Beaumont instituted a examination
of the rates of Gulf States Utilities/Entergy within the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to amend such Resolution to remove the
requirement for a hearing on interim rates and adjust the filing date to correspond with a
November date previously established by the merger document associated with the merger
of GSU and Entergy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Resolution No. 96-103 be and the same is hereby amended to remove numbered
paragraph "3" and amend paragraph "2" to read as follows:
"2. During the month of November, 1996 Entergy shall file with the City of
Beaumont, Texas, schedules A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, 0, and S of the
Rate Filing Package required by the Public Utility Commission of Texas,
along with all associated work papers for a test year ending June 30, 1996
(the City Council may grant an extension of the time for filing such rate filing
package on agreement of the parties.) Testimony need not be prepared, but
a narrative description shall be provided sufficient to describe such
information and costs shall be allocated to customer classes."
