RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, Page Southerland Page, agent for the owner, the Sisters of Charity of
the Incarnate Word, has requested that the City of Beaumont grant a License to Encroach
Agreement on the Fourteenth Street Right-of-Way to construct a canopy at the entrance
of the Urgent Care Clinic adjacent to Block 30 of the J. B. Langham Estate Subdivision and
located 35.5 feet north of the north right-of-way line of North Street at its intersection with
the east right-of-way line of Fourteenth Street and extending northwardly for 52.5 feet for
a width of 2.0 feet for a width of 2.0 feet on the south edge of the canopy transitioning to
4.0 feet on the north edge of the canopy, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof for all purposes; and,
WHEREAS, City staff has expended considerable time and effort in investigating
the effect of such encroachment upon the City and utilities serving the same; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that it would be equitable to allow such encroachment at this
time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a License to Encroach
with Page Southerland Page, agent for the owner, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate
Word, for construction of a canopy at the entrance of the Urgent Care Clinic adjacent to
Block 30 of the J. B. Langham Estate Subdivision and located 35.5 feet north of the north
right-of-way line of North Street at its intersection with the east right-of-way line of
Fourteenth Street and extending northwardly for 52.5 feet for a width of 2.0 feet for a width
of 2.0 feet on the south edge of the canopy transitioning to 4.0 feet on the north edge of
the canopy, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all
purposes for a one-time fee of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for the License to
Encroach.
