WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont shall confirm the Schlesinger Foundation as the
sponsor for the application under the rules of the Texas Department of Transportation
(TxDOT). The request is for funding of the project to the TxDOT to construct the
"Eldercare Gardens" at the Schlesinger Geriatric Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has committed to twenty (20) percent in matching
funds for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City hereby endorses the request of funding from the Texas Department
of Transportation - Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program.
The City recommends this project for "enhancement funding" by the Texas
Department of Transportation.
The City confirms that the Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program
application funds will be utilized, in part, to meet local, state and federal codes and
regulations pertaining to ADA, Fire, Safety and Health requirements.
