WHEREAS, bids were received on March 4, 1996, for the purchase of two (2)
tractors with a front-end loader and rear backhoe for use by the Water Utilities
Department, Water Distribution and Sewer Maintenance Divisions; and,
WHEREAS, Oil City Tractors, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of$81,320 for two
(2) New Holland Model 555D tractor loader backhoes; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Oil City Tractors,
Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Oil City Tractors, Inc. for two (2) New Holland Model 555D
tractor loader backhoes in the amount of $81,320 for use by the Water Utilities
Department, Water Distribution and Sewer Maintenance Divisions, be accepted by the City
of Beaumont.
