WHEREAS, on August 15, 1995, City Council awarded a contract to Norman
Highway Constructors, Inc. for the West Lucas Drive Widening Project in the amount of
$8,200,817.98; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is being requested to adjust the contract amount
for additional work to lower an existing 16" waterline and to provide temporary water
service during this construction in the amount of$45,672.20;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1,
as stated above, with Norman Highway Constructors, Inc. in the amount of$45,672.20.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the; day of
1996.
