RESOLUTION NO. go/
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont shall confirm the Jefferson
Theatre Preservation Society as the sponsor for the application
under the rules of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) .
The request is for funding of the project to the TxDOT to renovate
the historic Jefferson Theatre located in downtown Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has committed to 20% in matching
funds for the Downtown Redevelopment project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City hereby endorses the request of funding from the
Texas Department of Transportation - Statewide Transportation
Enhancement Program.
The city recommends this project for "enhancement funding" by
the Texas Department of Transportation.
The City confirms that Statewide Transportation Enhancement
Program application funds will be utilized, in part, to meet
local, state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to ADA,
Fire, Safety and Health requirements.
