BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to approve a historic preservation
loan from the Historic Preservation Loan Fund in the amount of $18,000 to James and
Theresa Mathews for renovation of the residence at 2494 South Street, Beaumont,Texas.
The work consists as described on Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all purposes.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 16th day of
December, 2003.

1) Tear off roof shingles ( 2 layers of composition and one layer of wood
Shingles) on house and garage ( appx 45 squares )
2) Install 7/16 4SB decking on house and garage roof
3) Install 15 lb. Felt
4) Install 90 lb. Three tab composition shingles
5) Level house and garage and add additional blocks where necessary
6) Repair wood trim around exterior windows where necessary (appx
150')
7) Remove back door(first floor) and install new metal unit with lock set
And dead bolt($350.00 allowance)
8) Remove steps to rear door and build new steps
9) Clean and paint front door and porch
10) Pressure wash entire exterior
Total bid price - $22,000
