RESOLUTION NO. 03-271
WHEREAS, bids were received for a contract for the Water Treatment Plant 14
MGD Expansion and Miscellaneous Improvements project; and,
WHEREAS, Craig, Sheffield and Austin, Inc., Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of $11,029,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Craig, Sheffield
and Austin, Inc., Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Craig, Sheffield and Austin, Inc., Houston, Texas, for the
contract in the amount of$11,029,000 for the Water Treatment Plant 14 MGD Expansion
and Miscellaneous Improvements project be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the
City Manager be and is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Craig, Sheffield and
Austin, Inc., Houston, Texas for such project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 16th day of
December, 2003.
