WHEREAS, the lawsuit of James Harris v City of Beaumont, et al., has been
discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held November 25, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of James
Harris v City of Beaumont, et al in the amount of Eighty-Five Thousand Three-Hundred
($85,300) Dollars.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 2nd day of
December, 2003.
