WHEREAS, bids were received Monday, July 13, 1998 for furnishing all labor, materials,
supplies and equipment to install new vinyl floor tile at the Best Years Center located at 780 S.
4th Street; and,
WHEREAS, Porter's Carpets, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of $17,317.15 and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Porter's Carpets, Inc.
in the amount of$17,317.15 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Porter's Carpets, Inc. for furnishing all labor, materials, supplies and
equipment to install new vinyl floor tile at the Best Years Center be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with
Porter's Carpet, Inc. for project.
