WHEREAS, bids were received Monday, June 1, 1998, for the renovation of the old
Whitehouse Building's first floor to provide a new municipal court facility; and,
WHEREAS, Epcon, Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of $1,627,000; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Epcon, Inc. for the
renovation of the old Whitehouse Building's first floor to provide a new municipal court facility
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Epcon, Inc. in the amount of $1,627,000 for the renovation of the old
Whitehouse Building's first floor to provide a new municipal court facility be accepted by the City
of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Epcon, Inc. for the renovation of the old Whitehouse Building's first floor to provide
a new municipal court facility.
