WHEREAS, bids were received Tuesday, July 7, 1998, for furnishing all labor,
materials, equipment and supplies necessary to remove and properly dispose of the
asbestos containing vinyl floor tile at the Best Years Center located at 780 S. 4th Street;
and,
WHEREAS, Darla Southwest, Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of $16,381.00;
and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Darla Southwest,
Inc. for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to remove and properly
dispose of the asbestos containing vinyl floor tile at the Best Years Center located at 780 S. 4th
Street should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Darla Southwest, Inc. in the amount of $16,381.00 for furnishing all
labor, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to remove and properly dispose of the
asbestos containing vinyl floor tile at the Best Years Center located at 780 S. 4th Street be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Darla Southwest, Inc. furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and necessary
supplies to remove and properly dispose of the asbestos containing vinyl floor tile at the Best
Years Center located at 780 S. 4th Street be accepted by the City of Beaumont..
