WHEREAS, on Tuesday, May 26, 1998 bids were received for furnishing
approximately 685 lunches per day for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sponsored by
the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, Regal Food Service, Inc., Houston, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of $1.85 per lunch for a total estimated cost of $59,560.75 ; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Regal Food
Service, Inc., Houston, Texas is the lowest responsible bid meeting specifications and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Regal Food Service, Inc., Houston, Texas to furnish approximately
685 lunches per day for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sponsored by the Parks and
Recreation Department in the amount of$1.85 per lunch for a total estimated cost of$59,560.75
is hereby accepted.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day
