WHEREAS, on Monday, June 1, 1998, bids were received for an annual contract to
provide caustic soda for the Water Utilities Department, Water Production Division; and,
WHEREAS, Jones Chemicals, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of $224.00 per dry ton;
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Jones Chemicals, Inc.
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT-
THAT the bid submitted by Jones Chemicals, Inc. for the purchase of caustic soda for the Water
Utilities Department, Water Production Division in the amount of$224.00 per dry ton be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 9b, day of
1998.
