WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on Monday, May 4, 1998 for an annual contract to
purchase surplus brass casing water meters for the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, Sampson Steel Corporation submitted a bid for the sale of brass casing water
meters at Seventy Percent (70%) of the Iron Age spot price; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Sampson Steel
Corporation should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT-
THAT the bid submitted by Sampson Steel Corporation for the sale of brass casing water meters
at Seventy Percent (70%) of the Iron Age spot price be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the
City Manager is hereby authorized to execute such contract.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1998.
