WHEREAS, one bid was received on Monday, May 11, 1998 for an annual contract for
Guard and Event Staff Services for the Community Services Department, Convention Facilities
Division; and,
WHEREAS, Delta Security, Inc. submitted a bid with the option to extend the contract for
one year at an estimated annual cost of$115,998.00 calculated at 150 events with hourly rates
as follows:
DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE
Guard Service Supervisor $8.50/hr.
Ticket Taker Supervisor $6.75/hr.
Ticket Taker $9.40/hr.
Usher Supervisor $6.75/hr.
Usher $9.54/hr.
Door Guard $13.00/hr.
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Delta Security, Inc.
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Delta Security, Inc. in the above stated amounts for an annual contract
for Guard and Event Staff Services for the Community Services Department, Convention Facilities
Division be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
