WHEREAS, sealed bids were received Monday, May 4, 1998, for an annual
contract for limestone base material both F.O.B. jobsite and plantsite to be used primarily
by the Streets and Drainage Division for the repair and maintenance of streets; and,
WHEREAS, Transit Mix Concrete and Materials Company, submitted a bid in the
amount of $11.50 per ton F.O.B. plantsite and $13.80 per ton for delivery to Zones 1, 2,
3, and 4. The estimated annual expenditure is $23,000.00; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Transit Mix Concrete
and Materials Company, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix Concrete and Materials Company for an annual contract
for limestone base material both F.O.B. jobsite and plantsite to be used primarily by the Streets
and Drainage Division for the repair and maintenance of streets in the amount of $11.50 per ton
F.O.B. plantsite and $13.80 per ton for delivery to Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 (estimated annual
expenditure is $23,000.00) be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
