WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the conveyance of drainage
easements to Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 for the Meentzen Road Drainage
Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont, in a participation project with Jefferson County
Drainage District No. 6 to eliminate the overflow in Ditch 904, acquired the property as
described in the attached Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the land described on Exhibit "A" is needed by Jefferson County
Drainage District No. 6 to connect Ditch 904 with the Spear Road Ditch;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the conveyance of land as described in attached Exhibit "A" be and the same is
hereby approved:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to convey the land as described in attached Exhibit "A" to Jefferson County
Drainage District No. 6.
