WHEREAS, on Monday, March 9, 1998, bids were received for the sale of City-
owned surplus property located in the 3400 block of Laurel Street (abandoned 100' wide
Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way located between the northwesterly line of the 16th
Street ditch and the south right-of-way line of Laurel Street), Noah Tevis Survey, Abstract
52; and,
WHEREAS, Ted E. Moor, Jr. submitted a bid of $7,550.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Ted E. Moor,
Jr. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Ted E. Moor, Jr. in the amount of$7,550.00 for the sale of City-
owned surplus property located in the 3400 block of Laurel Street (abandoned 100' wide
Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way located between the northwesterly line of the 16th
Street ditch and the south right-of-way line of Laurel Street), Noah Tevis Survey, Abstract
52 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
execute any and all documents necessary to transfer title of the above mentioned property.
