W WHEREAS, on September 3, 1996, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, awarded a contract to Bo-Mac Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $1,194,476.00 for construction of a new 4,000,000 gallon ground storage tank at the Annexed Area, near the Prison Complex pump station; and WHEREAS, during the course of the project, Change Order No. 1 was approved by Council on October 29, 1996 to reduce the size of the 4,000,000 gallon ground storage tank to 2,667,000 gallons, which decreased the contract by $234,876.00 for a total of $959,600.00. Change Order No.2 in the amount of $17,227.00 [increasing the contract amount to $976,827.00] is required to adjust the quantities of unit price bid items to provide for the installation of additional reinforcing steel, new shell drains, overflow nozzle, weir box and splash pad; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $17,227.00. The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment of the retainage in the amount of $88,007.00 to be paid to Bo-Mac Contractors., Inc.
