WHEREAS, on Monday, January 12, 1998, bids were received for the purchase of
a 4 cubic yard wheel loader to be used at the Landfill for moving and transporting
composed material; and,
WHEREAS, Rush Equipment Center of Texas, Inc., Houston, Texas submitted a bid
in the amount of$145,232.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Rush Equipment
Center of Texas, Inc., Houston, Texas, for the purchase of a 4 cubic yard wheel loader to
be used at the Landfill for moving and transporting composed material in the amount of
$145,232.00 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Rush Equipment Center of Texas, Inc., Houston, Texas for the
purchase of one (1) John Deere Model 644G four wheel drive articulated wheel loader in
the amount of$145,232.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 12zVu
day of 1998.
