WHEREAS bids were received on Monday, February 2, 1998 for the replacement of a hot
water boiler which produces heat and hot water for the Police Department, Beaumont Public
Library, and a portion of the Julie Rogers Theater and is located at the Police Department, 255
College Street; and,
WHEREAS, Gulf Coast Boiler Service, Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the amount of
$47,226.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Gulf Coast Boiler
Service, Houston, Texas, for the purchase and installment of one (1) Kewanee model hot water
boiler in the amount of $47,226.00 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Gulf Coast Boiler Service for the purchase of one (1) Kewanee model
hot water boiler in the amount of $47,226.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1998.
