WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, awarded a
contract to Allco, Inc. in the amount of$369,570.00 for sanitary sewer improvements to
the North Trunk Line Rehabilitation Project, Contract No. 8; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$88,664.00 [increasing
the contract amount to $458,234.00] is required because the alignment and the condition
of the existing trunk line was in more inferior condition than what was originally anticipated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 increasing the contract in the amount of$88,664.00. The project, as stated above, be
and the same is herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
make final payment in the amount of $156,049.78 to be paid to Allco, Inc.
