WHEREAS, on September 18, 1995, the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, Texas, awarded a contract to Allco, Inc. in the amount of $1,449,636.66 for
sanitary sewer improvements to the 23rd Street Interceptor and Lift Station, Contract
Number 5A; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the project, Change Order No. 1 increased
the contract by$351,559.57 to extend the length of the 30" peak force main, Change Order
No.2 in the amount of $9,047.60 [increasing the contract amount to $1,810,243.83] is
required to adjust the quantities of unit price bid items to provide for the installation of
additional piping, fittings, casings and access holes at the existing lift station;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 2
in the amount of $9,047.60. The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein
accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment of
the retainage in the amount of$90,512.19 to be paid to Allco, Inc.
