WHEREAS, bids were received for the asbestos abatement of the former Edwards
Elementary School building located at 4400 Detroit; and,
WHEREAS, Marcor Remediation, Inc., Houston, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of$30,000.00; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Marcor Remediation,
Inc. for the asbestos abatement of the former Edwards Elementary School building located at
4400 Detroit in the amount of$30,000.00 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Marcor, Inc. for the asbestos abatement of the former Edwards
Elementary School Building located at 4400 Detroit in the amount of$30,000.00 be accepted by
the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1998.
