BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to approve the City of
Beaumont's Police Department to apply for and execute a grant titled "S.T.O.P. Violence
Against Women Act (VAWA)" from the Criminal Justice Division in the amount of $20,555
a year for two years for the continuation of the Case Specialist in the Domestic Violence
Unit. The Police Department would provide cash and in-kind match of $8,281.

WHEREAS, Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 has received land
from Amoco Production Company that they are required to dedicate to the City as a
Road Right-of-Way Easement as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT-
THAT the dedication of the 15.249 acres as a Road Right-of-Way Easement for the
extension of Folsom Road from Dowlen Road westward to Major Drive (FM 364) as
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby accepted, and the same is hereby
approved:
