WHEREAS bids were received on Monday, January 5, 1998 for the purchase of one (1)
medium duty diesel powered crew cab truck chassis equipped with a service body to be used by
the Water Utilities, Sewer Maintenance Division; and,
WHEREAS, Lawrence Marshall Chev-Olds, Inc., Hempstead, Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of$50,978.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Lawrence Marshall
Chev-Olds, Inc., Hempstead,Texas,for the purchase of one (1) 1998 Chevrolet CC71-1042 crew
cab truck equipped with a service body in the amount of$50,978.00 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Lawrence Marshall Chev-Olds, Inc., Hempstead, Texas, for the
purchase of one (1) 1998 Chevrolet CC71-1042 crew cab truck equipped with a service body in the
amount of$50,978.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
