ORDINANCE NO. 2--2-0
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING THAT
PART OF EVANGELINE LANE THAT FORMS THE
NORTH SIDE OF A PLATTED CUL-DE-SAC
ADJACENT TO LOT 9, BLOCK 1, OAK LANE
ADDITION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the part of Evangeline Lane that forms the north side of a platted cul-de-sac
adjacent to lot 9, block 1, Oak Lane Addition of the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas as shown on Exhibit"A" attached hereto,is hereby abandoned subject
to the retention of a general utility easement to take the place of the right-of-way.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 51993.

DESCRIPTION of a small tract of land that comprises a part of the former cul-de-sac on Evangeline
Lane that forms>an intrusion into Lot No. ,9"in Block No. 1 of Oak Lane Addition that is recorded
in Volume 14 Page I21 `of,the Map -Red bids of Jefferson County, Texas; said small tract is a
segment"of a circle whose-radius is 50 feet::.and being more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
FOR locative corner begin at a concrete monument in the Northmost right-of-way line of Evangeline
Lane, a 60 foot width right-of-way, locating the Southeast corner of said Lot No. 9, Block No. 1,
Oak Lane Addition;
THENCE South 71 degrees 29 minutes West with said Northmost right-of-way line 20.11 feet to a
steel rod locating the Eastmost and beginning corner of the segment of a circle herein described;
THENCE South 71 degrees 29 minutes West 80.00 feet to a steel rod in the Northmost right-of-way
of Evangeline Lane locating the Westmost corner of this segment of a circle.
THENCE in a Northeasterly direction with the arc of a curve whose radius is 50 feet and whose
central angle is 106 degrees 15 minutes 30 seconds, and whose tangent is 80.00 feet, an arc distance
of 92.73 feet to the place of beginning, containing 1118.0 square feet of land.
