ORDINANCE NO. 3 70
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ARTICLE 3
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT TO AMEND THE DEFINITION OF"HOTEL'';
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING
FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT Section 25-50 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont be and the
same is hereby amended to amend the definition of "Hotel" to read as follows:
Hotel: Any building or buildings in which the public may
for consideration, obtain sleeping
accommodations. The term shall include but not
be limited to hotels, motels, bed and breakfast
facilities, tourist homes, houses or courts, lodging
houses, inns, rooming houses or other buildings
where rooms are furnished for consideration, but
"hotel" shall not be defined so as to include
hospitals, sanitariums or nursing homes.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the
application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance,
and to such end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent

of the conflict only.
