ORDINANCE NO. 95- 3 6
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE REPEALING
ORDINANCE 93-30 AND ABANDONING THE
FIFTEENTH STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED
BETWEEN HARRISON AVENUE AND NORTH
STREET, BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS AND RETAINING A UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, on June 29, 1993 Council enacted Ordinance 93-30 abandoning all of
the Fifteenth Street (15th St.) sixty feet (60') wide right-of-way extending from the
south right-of-way of Harrison Avenue south a distance of 709.77 ft. to the north
right-of-way line of North Street, said 15th Street right-of-way lying within Block 29,
J. B. Langham Estate Subdivision, in the T. H. Lewis and the Noah Tevis Surveys,
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.9776 acres of land, more or less,
as shown on Exhibit "A' attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, such Ordinance did not provide for the retention of a utility easement
which is required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Ordinance 93-30 is hereby repealed and that all of the Fifteenth Street
(15th St.) sixty feet (60') wide right-of-way extending from the south right-of-way of
Harrison Avenue south a distance of 709.77 ft. to the north right-of-way line of
North Street, said 15th Street right-of-way lying within Block 29, J. B. Langham

Estate Subdivision, in the T. H. Lewis and the Noah Tevis Surveys, Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.9776 acres of land, more or less, as shown on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, is hereby abandoned subject to the retention of a utility
easement.
