OF INTENTION TO ISSUE REVENUE BONDS

WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont intends to sell up to
$20, 000, 000 of its City of Beaumont, Texas, Waterworks and Sewer
System Junior Lien Revenue Bonds, Series 1992 , the proceeds of
which are to be used for certain improvements to the City' s water
and sewer system;
WHEREAS, the sale of the Bonds is scheduled for March 3, 1992;
WHEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined that
public notice of the date, hour, place, and purpose of this meeting
was given, all as required by Article 6252-17, Vernon' s Annotated
Texas Civil Statutes, as amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That, the Notice attached hereto shall be published in English
and Spanish in the Beaumont Enterprise, which is a newspaper
published and having general circulation in the City of Beaumont,
Texas, at least once a week for two consecutive weeks prior to the
date of the meeting of the City Council at which the issuance of
the bonds described therein is to be authorized, with the date of
the first publication to be not later than at least fourteen ( 14)
days prior to the aforesaid meeting.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE REVENUE BONDS
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 252 . 041 of the Texas
Local Government Code, as amended, and Article 2368a, Vernon' s
Annotated Texas Civil Statutes, as amended, notice is hereby given
that the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, will, at 1 : 30
p.m. on March 3, 1992, consider passing an ordinance and taking
such actions as may be deemed necessary to authorize the issuance
of the City' s Waterworks and Sewer System Junior Lien Revenue
Bonds, Series 1992 , in an amount not exceeding $20, 000, 000,
maturing serially over a period of not more than 20 years, with
interest payable semiannually at a rate not in excess of that
prescribed by Article 717k-2, Vernon 's Annotated Texas Civil
Statutes, as amended, for the purpose of providing money for
acquiring, extending, constructing, improving or repairing such
waterworks and sewer system, in accordance with the provisions of
Articles 1111 through 1118, Vernon' s Annotated Texas Civil
Statutes, as amended. Said bonds shall be payable only from the
net revenues of the City' s waterworks and sewer system after
deduction of all necessary operating and maintenance expenses, and
from no other resources or taxation, and shall not be a general
debt of the City of Beaumont, Texas .
