ORDINANCE NO. C
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26,
SECTION 26-3 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT TO ESTABLISH MAXIMUM AND
MINIMUM SPEEDS IN CERTAIN ZONES; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That Chapter 26, Section 26-3 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Beaumont be, and the same is hereby, amended to
change the speed limit of the listed street as follows:
Section 26-24: Maximum and minimum speeds established in certain
zones.
Direction of Speed
Street Limit of Zones Travel MPH
Laurel (A) From the centerline
of Magnolia Street
to the centerline of
Eleventh Street. East 35
(B) From the centerline
of Eleventh Street to
a point 70 feet West East
of the centerline of and
Fourteenth Street. West 35
Section 2 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are delcared to be
severable.

That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repeale,4,,totho extent of the conflict only.
Section 4.
That.-any- person-who violated any provision of this
ordinance ,AhalL, ,upon conviction, be punished as provided in
Section 1-8 of the Coqe,jq OAdinances of Beaumont, Texas.
