WHEREAS, bids were received for the installation of spray devices and
appurtenances on Central, Rogers and Sprott Parks,the Central, Rogers and Sprott Parks
Improvements Project; and,
WHEREAS, the three bids received exceed the estimated construction cost of
$150,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Bruce's
General Construction, Inc., Swain Company, Inc. and N & T Construction Company, Inc.
should be rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Bruce's General Construction, Inc., Swain Company, Inc. and
N &T Construction Company, Inc.for the installation of spray devices and appurtenances
on Central, Rogers and Sprott Parks be rejected by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 7th day of
October, 2003.
