ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1 , 1988 AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1989 BY APPROPRIATING
ADDITIONAL MONIES IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT,
LEGAL DEPARTMENT, WATER DEPARTMENT, INSURANCE
FUND, CONVENTION FACILITIES DEPARTMENT, DEBT
SERVICE FUND, SANITATION FUND AND VARIOUS
TRUST AND GRANT FUNDS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That the budget of the City of Beaumont, for the fiscal
period commencing October 1 , 1988 and ending September 30, 1989,
be, and the same is hereby, amended as follows:
The sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($350,000.00 ) is hereby appropriated from unappropriated funds in
the General Fund to the Fire Department. The sum of Forty-One
Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($41 ,600.00 ) is hereby appropriated
from unappropriated funds in the General Fund to the Legal
Department. The sum of Ninety-Three Thousand Six Hundred Forty
Dollars ( $93,640.00 ) is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
funds in the General Fund to the Water Department.
Section 2.
The sum of Seven Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand Seven
Hundred Twenty Dollars ($792,720.00 ) is hereby appropriated in
the Insurance Fund from unappropriated Insurance Fund revenues.
Section 3.
The total sum of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand One
Hundred Dollars ($115,100.00 ) is hereby appropriated to the
Convention Facilities Fund with Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars

( $85,000.00) of such monies being appropriated from
unappropriated funds in the General Fund, Parks Division and the
remaining Thirty Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($30,100.00)
appropriated from the Convention Facilities Fund balance.
Section 4.
That the sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00 ) is
hereby appropriated to the Debt Service Fund.
Section 5.
That the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($200 ,000.00 ) is hereby appropriated to the Sanitation Fund.
Section 6.
That the sum of Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
( $19,500.00) is hereby appropriated in the Library Trust Fund
from the fund balance in the Library Trust Fund.
Section 7.
That the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) is
hereby appropriated in the Expendable Trust Fund from current
revenues in such fund.
Section 8.
That the sum of Seven Hundred Ten Dollars ($710.00 ) is
hereby appropriated in the Tyrrell Park Renovation Trust Fund
from the fund balance for increased restoration activity in
Tyrrell Park.
Section 9.
That the sum of Five Thousand Twenty Dollars
($5020.00 ) is hereby appropriated in the HUD Section 108 Loan
Fund from unappropriated funds in the HUD Section 108 Loan Fund.

Section 10.
That the sum of Nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars
($9,600.00 ) is hereby appropriated in the State Health Grant Fund
from additional revenues to be received from the State Health
Contract.
Section 11 .
That the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) is
hereby appropriated in the Retired Employees Insurance Trust from
current revenues for continued operations.
Section 12.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 13.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
