ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE FINDING CERTAIN
STRUCTURES TO BE PUBLIC NUISANCES AND ORDERING
THEIR REPAIR OR DEMOLITION; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That the City Council of the City of Beaumont hereby
finds and declares the buildings located at:
3943 Magnolia 2520 Ave A (Garage)
275 Oakland 385 Royal
2110 Pecos 393-95-97 Royal
3525 Pradice 425 Frederick
1466 Terrell 4320 S P Road
2355 Pear 4320 S P Road (Shed)
1190 Lamar 695 Adams
890 Jackson 1430 Ashley
902 Goliad 2881 Concord
2398 Goliad (Garage Apt. ) 2883 Concord
3990 Goliad 4115 Woodlawn (Garage)
3930 Kenneth 2225 Wilson
3930 Kenneth (Rear) 1080-82 Alma
3960 St. Helena (Garage) 1715 Ives

each to be a public nuisance in that said buildings violate
Chapter 14, Section 14-50 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Beaumont and are for want of repairs, or by reason of age or
dilapidated condition, likely to cause or promote fires that
would endanger persons or property.
Section 2.
In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2 of the Charter
of the City of Beaumont, Sections 10-2 and 14-52 of the Code of
Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103. 4 of the Standard
Building Code, it is hereby ordered that the owner or owners of

the following buildings either repair or demolish and remove said
structures within thirty ( 30 ) days of the effective date of this
ordinance:

If such action is not taken, request shall be made that the City
Council authorize appropriate City officials to demolish and
remove said structures at the expense of the City of Beaumont on
account of the owner thereof and such expense shall be assessed
as a special tax against the property upon which the buildings
are situated.
Section 3.
In accordance with Article X`TII, Section 2, of the
Charter of the City of Beaumont, Sections 10-2 and 14-52 of the
Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas and Section 103. 4 of the
Standard Building Code, it is hereby ordered that the owner or
owners of the following described buildings demolish and remove
said structures within thirty ( 30 ) days of the effective date of
this ordinance:

1466 Terrell 3930 Xenneth

Section 4.
The following structures are hereby ordered to be
demolished and removed by the City of Beaumont on the account of
the owners thereof and such expense of demolition and removal
shall be assessed as a special tax against the properties upon
which the buildings are situated. The following structures were
theretofore declared to be public nuisances in violation of
Chapter 14, Section 14-50 of the Code of Ordinances of the City:

Section 5.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 6.
That any person who violated any provision of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in
Section 1 -8 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
