ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 89-69 AND
THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1989 ;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Beaumont has
submitted to the City Council a revised estimate of the revenues
and expenses of the Hotel-Motel Transient Room Occupancy Tax Fund
for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1989 and ending September
30, 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT the appropriation to the Hotel-Motel Room Occupancy Tax
Fund for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1989, as provided in
Ordinance No. 89-69, be increased by $116,700 to $997, 000 and that
the budget be amended to reflect the following appropriations:
Convention and Visitors Bureau $478, 000
Main Street on the Neches $ 56, 000
Reserve for Special Events $ 25, 000
Southeast Texas Arts Council $120, 000
Beaumont Heritage Society $ 10, 000
Transfer Out -- General Fund/
Convention Facilities $308, 000
Total Appropriations $997, 000
Section 2.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only.

Section 3 .
That is any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set
of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be
invalid, such invalidity shall in no way affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
