ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ISSUING A SPECIFIC USE
PERMIT TO ALLOW A NEW CHURCH AT 790 JENY LANE,
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of Beaumont considered the issuance of a specific use permit to
allow a new church at 790 Jeny Lane, Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, to the Fair Haven Church, tenant, its legal representatives,
successors, and assigns for that certain property hereinafter
described, subject to the following:
1 ) The narrowing of the existing 70 foot wide shell
surfaced drive into a 35 foot wide drive with the
outside of the 35 foot drive from the parking lot
to the street pavement to be graded and replaced
with topsoil and grass or landscaping mulch.
2 ) That a ten foot landscaping buffer be installed and
maintained on the north side of the subject tract
with trees being planted inside the buffer according
to Section 30-31 B.2 of the Zoning Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
issuance of such specific use permit is in the best interest of
the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the hereinafter
described conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That all conditions necessary for issuance of a specific
use permit have been met and a specific use permit to allow a new
church at 790 Jeny Lane on property zoned RS (Residential Single-
// �? - „77- 90
Family Dwelling) in an existing structure, Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, is hereby granted to The Fair Haven Church, tenant,
its legal representatives, successors and assigns for that certain
tract described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof for all purposes, subject to the above requirements.
Section 2.
That the specific use permit herein granted is expressly
issued for and in accordance with each particular and detail of the
site plan attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof for
all purposes.
Section 3.
Notwithstanding the site plan attached hereto, the use
of the property hereinabove described shall be in all other
respects subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in
Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, as
amended.
