ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
BUDGET OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR
THE FISCAL PERIOD COMMENCING
OCTOBER 1 , 1988 TO INCREASE THE
APPROPRIATION IN THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT AND AMEND THE PERSONNEL
SUMMARY SCHEDULE FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal
period commencing October 1 , 1988, and ending September 30, 1989,
be and the same is hereby, amended to increase the General Fund
appropriation to the Police Department by One Hundred Thirty
Thousand Dollars ($130,000 .00) , said money to be appropriated
from unappropriated monies in the General Fund Fines and
Forfeitures Account.
Section 2.
The authorized personnel summary for the Police
Department be, and the same is hereby, amended, as shown on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all
purposes.
Section 3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various

portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 21 day of February , 1989.
