ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
SEVERAL DEDICATED UTILITY EASEMENTS AND AN
ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY IN BLOCK 40 , VAN WORMER
ADDITION, BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the dedicated utility easements and alley lying in or adjacent
to Blocks 38 , 39, 40, 45, 46 and 47 of the Van Wormer Addition,
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, as shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, be and the same are hereby, vacated and
abandoned, and that title to such property shall revert to and
become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as provided
by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 28th day of February 1989.

EXHIBIT "A"
DESCRIPTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY TO BE ABANDONED
AND EASEMENTS TO BE RELINQUISHED
(Van Wormer Addition)
1. Formal abandonment of that portion of the alleyway in Block
40, Van Wormer Addition, which lies between Lots 4, 5 & 6 on
the North and Lots 7, 8 and 9 on the South.
2. Relinquishment of easement rights retained in the Avenue B
abandonment from Cedar Street to Crockett Street as recorded
in Vol. 347 page 103 and Vol. 383 page 51 Deed Records. In
addition, there is a specific easement to Gulf States
Utilities Company, Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and
United Gas as recorded in Vol . 1514 page 472 which covers this
same Avenue B area.
3. Relinquishment of general utility easement retained by the
City of Beaumont in abandoned alleyway lying in Block 47 as
set forth in Vol. 1565 page 439 Deed Records.
4. Relinquishment of general utility easement retained by the
City of Beaumont in abandoning alleyway located in Block 45 as
recorded in Vol . 2101 page 299 Deed Records.
5. Relinquishment of general utility easement retained by the
City of Beaumont in abandoning Bonham Street between Orange
Street and Avenue A as recorded in Vol. 2101 page 302 Deed
Records.
