ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 , OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT TO PROVIDE A SPECIAL CONDITION
REGULATING THE STORAGE OF PLASTIC AND RUBBER
MATERIAL; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That Chapter 30, Section 30-24 (b) , the Permitted Use
Table, be, and the same is hereby, amended as to SIC Group 42,
"Motor Freight Transportation and Warehousing" to add a "20" in
the Special Conditions column for such permitted primary use.
Section 2.
That Chapter 30 , Section 30-33 (b) be, and the same is
hereby, amended to add a special condition 20 to read as follows:
Special Condition "20":
The storage of plastic and rubber material
within the city limits of the City of
Beaumont shall meet the following conditions:
a. The warehouse shall be limited to a one-story
structure with a height limit of forty-five ( 45)
feet.
b. The warehouse shall be located on a lot of no less
than ten thousand ( 10,000) square feet in area.
C. The building setbacks shall be a minimum of twenty
(20 ) feet from any and all lot lines or as listed
on the Area and Height Regulations Tables, Section
30-25B.2 and 3 . , whichever is greater.
d. The regulations of Section 10-27, Fire Protection
and Prevention shall be complied with.
Section 3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a

particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
Section 5.
Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in Section 1 -8 of
the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
