ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1 , 1988 BY APPROPRIATING
ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
( $180,000.00 ) FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT BABE
ZAHARIAS PARK; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
There is hereby appropriated into the Capital Project
Fund, for the Babe Zaharias Park Improvement Project, the sum of
One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00 ) . Fifteen
Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Dollars ( $15,260.00 ) is hereby
appropriated to said fund from the General Fund Non-Departmental
Account. Fifty Thousand Dollars ( $50,000.00) is hereby
appropriated to said fund from contributions to the project in
the General Fund and One Hundred Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred
Forty Dollars ($114,740.00 ) is hereby appropriated to said fund
as an advance from the General Fund to be repaid from Hotel/Motel
Room Occupancy taxes over 8.2 years.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 25th day of April , 1989.
