AND PRELIMINARY OFFICIAL STATEMENT
AND AUTHORIZING DISTRIBUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont intends to sell
up to $17, 000,000 of its City of Beaumont, Texas, Waterworks
and Sewer System Revenue and Refunding Bonds, Series 1989,
the proceeds of which are to be used for improvements to the
water and sewer system and to refund certain outstanding
revenue bonds; and
WHEREAS, the sale of the bonds is scheduled for August
22, 1989;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Official Notice of Sale and Preliminary
Official Statement dated August 1, 1989, copies of which are
attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved
by the City Council; and
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that officers and agents of the
City of Beaumont are hereby authorized to publish all
required notices of intent to sell the above referenced
bonds on August 22, 1989, and to distribute the attached
Official Notice of Sale and Preliminary Official Statement
dated August 1, 1989.
