OF INTENTION TO ISSUE REVENUE AND REFUNDING BONDS

WHEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined
that public notice of the date, hour, place, and purpose of
this meeting was given, all as required by Article 6252-17,
Vernon's Annotated Texas Civil Statutes, as amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That, the Notice attached hereto shall be published in
English and Spanish in the Beaumont Enterprise, which is a
newspaper published and having general circulation in the
City of Beaumont, Texas, at least once a week for two
consecutive weeks prior to the date of the meeting of the
City Council at which the issuance of the bonds described
therein is to be authorized, with the date of the first
publication to be not later than at least fourteen (14) days
prior to the aforesaid meeting.

AVISO DE INTENCION DE EMITIR BONOS DE INGRESOS
En cumplimi-�---nto a los ordenamientos de seccion 252.041
del codigio del gobierno local, segun enmendado, y del
Articulo 2368a, Estatutos Civiles de Texas Anotados de
Vernon, segun enanendado, se notifica por el presente que el
Cabildo Municipa 1 de la Ciudad de Beaumont, Texas, a la
1 : 15 P.M. del 22? de agosto de 1989 considerara el paso de
una ordenanza y la toma de tal accion como sea considerado
necesario, para autorizar la emision de los Bonos
Municipales de Lngresos del Sistema de Abastecimiento de
Aguas y Alcantarrillas, Serie 1989, en una cantidad a no
exceder $17, 000,. 000, con vencimiento en serie sobre un
periodo no mayor de 20 anos, con interes pagadero
semi-anualmente ;a una tasa a no exceder aquella prescrita
por el A.=ticulo '717k, Estatutos civiles de Texas Anotados de
Vernon, cegun enmmendado, con el proposito de suplir dinero
para (i) la adqu:isicion, ampliacion, construccion, mejora o
reparaci<>n de d_.i_cho sistema de abastecimiento de aguas y
alcantar-llas, cue acuerdo con los ordenamientos de los
Articulo, 1111 Inasta el 1118, Estatutos Civiles de Texas
Anotados de Verr-ion, segun enmendado, y (ii) reembolsando
ciertos Winos de ingresos pendientes. Dichos bonos seran
pagadero4--- solamente de los ingresos netos del sistema de
abastecimdento de aquas y alcantarillas de la Ciudad despues
de deduc=.r todos los gastos necesarios de operacion y
mantenim-Lento, y no de otros medios de tributaciones, y no
seran un -deudo de la Ciudad de Beaumont, Texas.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE REVENUE BONDS
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 252. 041 of
V.T.C.A. , Local Government Code, as amended, and Article
2368a, Vernon's Annotated Texas Civil Statutes, as amended,
notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, Texas, will, at 1 : 15 p.m. on August 22, 1989,
consider passing an ordinance and taking such actions as may
be deemed necessary to authorize the issuance of the City's
Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue and Refunding Bonds,
Series 1989, in an amount not exceeding $17, 000, 000,
maturing serially over a period of not more than 20 years,
with interest payable semiannually at a rate not in excess
of that prescribed by Article 717k, Vernon's Annotated Texas
Civil Statutes, as amended, for the purpose of providing
money for (i) acquiring, extending, constructing, improving
or repairing such waterworks and sewer system, in accordance
with the provisions of Articles 1111 through 1118, Vernon's
Annotated Texas Civil Statutes, as amended, and (ii)
refunding certain outstanding waterworks and sewer system
revenue bonds. Said bonds shall be payable only from the
net revenues of the City's waterworks and sewer system after
deduction of all necessary operating and maintenance
expenses, and from no other resources or taxation, and shall
not be a general debt of the City of Beaumont, Texas.
