GROUP RESIDENTIAL vt _ , FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR a S.JVEPaE a.uILI.._ A''.D PROVIDING FC REPEAL. xL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1 . That Chapter 30 , Section 30-4(b) of the Coc'e of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont be amended to add t he following definitions: Family Home: Y residential home for no more than six (a ) disables� persons and two ( 2 ) staff persons and meeting all of the requirements of Vernon' s Annotated Civil Statutes, Art. 1011n. Group Residential Care Facility: Establishments primarily engaged in the provision of residential social and personal care for :persons with some limits on ability for self-care, but where medical care is not a major element. These establishments are listed in the U. S Office of Management and Budget' s Stanjara industrial Classification (SIC) Hanual as industry 08361 . Section 2. That Chapter 30, Section 30-24(a) of the Code of Ordinances, of the City of Beaumont Zoning Ordinance be amended as per the attached Exhibit €8 " . ;Section 3. That Chapter 30, Section 30-33 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont be amended to add a n€S;;a special condition as follows: ii Section 30-33(x : Residential Care Uses: Compliance with the following conditions is required: a) At least fifteen ( 15) days prior to the issuance of a buildin(-A permit and/or a certificate of occupancy, written documentation must be su!xciitted to the Building Official outlining the type, size, location, characteristics and proposed activities of the facility. The names, addresses and phone F nuMbers of the operators, general operation information, a site plan and a list of the licenses and grants the facility operate under must also be sumitted. b) The owners of property within two hundred feet (200 ' ) of the proposed. 'Facility' s property lines must receive a written notice of co---j,,Dlianc-- with the ordinance no less than ten ( 10 ) days prior to L '7 he issuance of the building permit and/or the certificate of occupancy. -_he notice will contain a copy of the written documentation submitil--ed to the Building official as required in Special Condition 13(a) . A processing fee of Orne Hl'undre(fit Twenty-F-Live Dollars ( $125 ) shall be paid to the City. c) A facility must be licensed, certified, or accredited b-,,r an agency of the county, state or I - federal government prior to providing services and the issuance of a certificate of occupancy.
