HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 86-105 ORDINANCE NO. �p/QJ� ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 86-103 ; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL. WHEREAS, on October 7, 1986, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 86-103 which vacated and abandoned a one-foot wide by seventy-five foot long portion of Calder Avenue adjacent to Lot 9 and the west 1/2 of Lot 10, Block 4 of the Calder Addition, and abandoned a one-foot wide by 140 foot long portion of Forrest Street adjacent to Lot 9, Block 4, Calder Addition, located at 1096 Calder Avenue; and, WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont' s Planning Commission recommended abandonment of the north one-foot of Calder Avenue between Magnolia and Forrest Streets and the east one-foot of Forrest between Calder Avenue and McFaddin; and, WHEREAS, Council desires to approve the recommendation of the City Planning Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT Section 1 . That Ordinance No. 86-103 be, and it is hereby, repealed. Section 2 . That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be l� - /O S /Q - /5/_ 'f� invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
