HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 87-12 ORDINANCE NO. <P 7-- ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD COMMENCING OCTOBER 1 , 1986 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1987 BY REDUCING THE NUMBER OF ALLOCATED POSITIONS IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, INCREASING THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS IN THE EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT, AND AMENDING THE FISCAL LINE ITEMS OF THE BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1 . That the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period commending October 1 , 1986 and ending September 30, 1987 be, and the same is hereby, amended to reflect the elimination of the following positions in the Fire Department: Administration & Support (B324) Grade Number Emergency Services Administrator 16 1 Equipment Mechanic Leader 11 1 Equipment Mechanic II 09 2 Senior Secretary 09 1 Secretary 08 1 Sr. Clerk Typist 07 2 Emergency Medical Services (B116) EMS Manager 19 1 Paramedic 08 6 Medic 05 6 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period commending October 1 , 1986 and ending September 30, 1987 be, and the same is hereby, amended to reflect the creation of the Emergency Services Department and the addition of the following positions to this Department: ll s77 i--p --?-14--?7 i M Administration & Support (B324) Grade Number Emergency Services Administrator 23 1 Equipment Mechanic Leader 11 1 Equipment Mechanic II 09 2 Senior Secretary 09 1 Secretary 08 1 Sr. Clerk Typist 07 2 Emergency Medical Services (B116) EMS Manager 19 1 Paramedic 08 6 Medic 05 6 Section 2. That the budget of the City of Beaumont, for the fiscal period commencing October 1 , 1986 and ending September 30, 1987 be, and the same is hereby, amended to reflect a decrease of Eight Hundred Nineteen Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Dollars ( $819,420 ) in the Fire Department and an increase in the Emergency Services Department of Eight Hundred Nineteen Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Dollars ($819,420) . Section 3. That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should, for any reason be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and, to such end, the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 4.
