ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1985, AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1986, BY APPROPRIATING $1 , 100,000
AS REVENUE FROM THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE E.S .M.
BANKRUPTCY AND APPROPRIATING $805,000 FROM
UNAPPROPRIATED AND UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE TO
ACCOUNT NO. B795, HURRICANE BONNIE DISASTER
ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
The budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period
commencing October 1 , 1985, and ending September 30, 1986, be and
the same is hereby amended by appropriating $1 , 100, 000 to revenues
with the source of said funds being the distribution of monies to
the City of Beaumont in the bankruptcy of E.S .M. Government
Securities.
Section 2 .
The budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period
commencing October 1 , 1985, and ending September 30, 1986, be and
the same is hereby amended by appropriating the sum of $805,000
from unreserved and unappropriated fund balance to Account No.
B795, Hurricane Bonnie Disaster Account.
Section 3 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular
set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be

invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
