ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1985 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER
30, 1986 BY REDUCING THE NUMBER OF ALLOCATED
POSITIONS IN THE EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT AND THE
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, INCREASING
THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS IN THE FINANCE
DEPARTMENT, AND AMENDING THE FISCAL LINE ITEMS
OF THE BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal
period commencing October 1, 1985 and ending September 30, 1986 be,
and the same is hereby, amended to reflect the elimination of the
following positions in the Executive Department, the Internal
Auditing Division, the Administrative Services Department and the
Budget & Research Department:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the budget of the City of
Beaumont for the fiscal period commencing October 1 , 1985 and
ending September 30, 1986 be, and the same is hereby, amended to
reflect the addition of the following positions to the Finance
Department and the Executive Department - City Manager Division:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the number of allocated Clerk
III positions be increased to three ( 3 ) and that the number of
Accountants, Grade 21, be increased to four (4) in the Finance
Department.

Section 2 .
That the budget of the City of Beaumont, for the fiscal
period commencing October 1 , 1985 and ending September 30, 1986 be,
and the same is hereby, amended to reflect a decrease of $174,470
in the Department of Administrative Services, a decrease of
$102,910 in the Executive Department and an increase in the
Department of Finance of $277, 380.
Section 3 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various portions
and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
