ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1985 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER
30, 1986 BY REDUCING THE NUMBER OF GRADE IV
POSITIONS AND INCREASING THE NUMBER OF GRADE I
POSITIONS IN THE PATROL DIVISION OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
Section 1 .
That the number of allocated Grade IV positions in the
Patrol Division of the Beaumont Police Department be reduced to
three (3 ) and the allocated number of Grade I positions in the
Patrol Division be increased to One Hundred Thirteen ( 113) .
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the budget of the City of
Beaumont for the fiscal period beginning October 1 , 1985 be amended
to reflect that the number of Grade IV positions in the Patrol
Division of the Beaumont Police Department is three (3 ) and the
number of Grade I Patrol Division Police Officers is One Hundred
Thirteen (113) .
Section 2 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various portions
and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.

Section 3 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
